Pastor Derek K. Draughon is a seasoned pastor with a lifetime of experience ministering to the church through a message of love and faith. He has a driving passion to pursue dreams and develop a plan of achievement for reaching our powerful potential.

His mission in life is to be available in any circumstance for the opportunity to lead someone into a life changing encounter with Christ; that everyone will awaken to their value as a Christian, and will transfer that experience to the community.

Most days you will find Pastor Derek at Carpe Diem enjoying a fresh cup of joe and adding another mug to his worldwide collection, out piloting an aircraft, tearing down sheet rock, editing video or reading a book. Pastor Derek and his wife Courtney are lead pastors to the vibrant congregation of Saraland First. Believing in the value of quality family time, they have three "B-Boys"—Braxton, Bryson and Bentley.
